I love fireworks and really enjoy a good pyrotechnics display.
Celebrating our liberty is the traditional reason for such 
demonstrations. Thomas Jefferson said that this was the proper 
way to celebrate our nation's birthday and we shouldn't argue 
with him. Such celebrations help to remind us that we have a 
lot to be thankful for and a freedom we all need to protect. 
The famous '76 flag featured in this painting is based on the 
original flag, which is on view at the Bennington Museum in 
Bennington, Vermont.
