In the 1850's Norwegian Moravians established a settlement on the hills overlooking beautiful Eagle Harbor, calling it Ephraim -- "twice blessed." Familiar church steeples stand above the village as witnesses to that heritage. I picture them here on a Sunday afternoon, resting quietly under threatening skies as a sudden burst of sunlight offers a metaphoric promise of salvation, as well as real hope for a brighter tomorrow.

We are excited to introduce a new series, " A Week in Door County". Typical of what you've come to expert from Charles Peterson, each of the images will celebrate the daily experience of village and rural life in the Midwest. We begin the 7 print series with "Saturday Night At Ruckert's Store," the first of 3 releases in 2006. You can look forward to the "Sunday" release by June 1 and "Monday" by November 1. The series will be completed in 2007.
These new prints are utilizing the " Giclee " printing process. The technology allows us to use authentic watercolor paper for  a look so much like an original that it is nearly indistinguishable.
We anticipate delivery of
"Sunday, Twice Blessed,"
in early June 2006
